Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Traffic or Transportation Engineer to join our Traffic Engineering team. This position offers a dynamic role with diverse responsibilities, rapid growth potential, and cross-disciplinary exposure in Traffic Engineering, Highway/Roadway Design, and Civil Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the preparation of Traffic Impact and Parking Studies.
Perform Intersection Capacity Analyses and Traffic Signal Timing directives.
Design Traffic Signals, Roadway Improvements, and Maintenance/Traffic Control plans.
Prepare comprehensive submission packages and applications for jurisdictional approval.
Train and mentor junior designers and analysts.
Conduct zoning and land development permitting.
Perform field inspections and prepare detailed project reports.
Present at municipal, county, and state meetings (with proper training).
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (required).
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in traffic engineering or highway design.
Experience with private entitlement/zoning/site plan permitting (preferred).
Proficiency with Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/SimTraffic.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and signal design is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
Familiarity with DOT design and permitting (NJDOT, NYSDOT, PennDOT) is a plus.
