The candidate will be responsible for the setup, configuration, security, performance tuning, and ongoing support of RHEL servers, while collaborating closely with application, security, and infrastructure teams. Location: Annapolis, MD (Locals Preferred) Primary Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers. Manage system upgrades, patching , and security hardening . Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, and optimize performance. Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python . Configure and maintain Red Hat Satellite and Identity Management (IdM) . Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with policies. Manage and optimize storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Provide Linux system support for application teams. Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and procedures. Participate in on-call support and incident resolution. Configure NFS and system/application cron jobs . Preferred Skills & Experience Complex networked system administration experience. Experience with IBM AIX (pSeries) systems. System administration for: Oracle WebLogic and Database Servers Progress 4GL / OpenEdge RHEL on vSphere Rubrik backup systems PeopleSoft, Mobius, Elastic Search, Oracle OBI Red Hat performance tuning and load balancing . Experience in 24/7 mission-critical environments. Background in application development and Red Hat support . Knowledge of electronic imaging systems .
