DuraServ’ s continued double-digit growth necessitates a strong professional Production Scheduler supporting our Proprietary Brands. This role , reporting to the Plant Operations Planning Manager will be Responsible for the provision, ongoing management & delivery of production operations plan & Master Production Schedule (MPS)within DuraFlex to support day to day planning activities (materials, resources, de-confliction) ensuring on time in full delivery (OTIF) and right first time (RfT). Management and maintenance of Planning modules within the company MRP system. The primary focus here will be creating, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations supporting our proprietary product lines.

Essential Functions

1. Accountable to deliver the overall Operations Plan & Master Production Schedule to meet Sales orderbook requirements.
2. LEAN thinker that’s customer centric with a process driven mindset that involves all stakeholders to deliver process improvements that safely moves the needle.
3. Responsible for the development of Planning procedures, processes & policies working with the Senior Leadership Team, encouraging best practice and a culture of Continuous improvement across all planning & materials management processes.
4. Monitor, record and report progress/issues regarding MPS and Sales Orderbook delivery to leadership. Report any capability or capacity constraints to allow for priority production decisions to be made.
5. Oversee the production planning of finished goods (make to stock) and Sales Orders (make to order) and appropriate schedules for work over short-, medium- and long-term planning horizons, integrating resource planning, materials, estimating and forecasting.
6. Ensure that a balanced and de-conflicted program of work is delivered to Production and for local scheduling and execution using Roughcut planning techniques.
7. Ensure timely delivery of production job packs to production team.
8. Analyzes and interprets the results and summarizes / communicates in a manner that management understands; tells the stories behind the numbers.
9. Partners with business support strategic decision-making; provide input to leadership on how to improve the business in order to drive results and achieve goals.
10. Perform and engage with the cross functional team (Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing & Materials Management, Production, Sales), and provide production planning support as required.
11. Complete month end analysis of Operations/Planning performance and issue reports / KPI’s as required.

• This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Floor and office environment mix
• Mix of prolonged periods of standing, operating a forklift. Bending, pushing and office work
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Travel

• This job has no planned business travel.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, master’s degree or MBA desired; Will consider associate’s degree with impactful experience in the production scheduling function to include development and management of a master schedule.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry as a Material Planner/scheduler or a Master Scheduler in a LEAN environment.
• APICS Certification desired.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, advanced Excel skills desired.
