Job Title: Medical Technologist/MLT – OR
Location: Lexington, OR
Schedule: Full-Time |  Day Shift
Salary Range: $28.08 - $31.77 per hour (Starting)

We are seeking a dedicated  Medical Technologist/MLT to join our laboratory team in  Lexington, OR . The successful candidate will perform a variety of  clinical laboratory tests to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This is a full-time, day-shift position offering the opportunity to work in a close-knit community hospital with a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare.

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in the areas of  hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and blood banking .
• Operate and maintain  laboratory equipment and analyzers .
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
• Follow established  quality control and  quality assurance procedures.
• Participate in  maintenance of laboratory records and inventory management.
• Assist with  patient specimen collection as needed.
• Work collaboratively with  physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Comply with all applicable  regulatory standards including  CLIA and  OSHA .

Education:

• Required: Associate’s Degree in  Medical Laboratory Technology or  Medical Technology , or equivalent.

Experience:

• Required: Previous experience or internship in a  clinical laboratory setting .
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience as a  Medical Technologist/MLT in a hospital or clinical laboratory.

Licensure/Certification:

• Required: Certification as a  Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)or  Medical Technologist (MT)by  ASCP or equivalent.
• Required:   Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent  communication and organizational skills .
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
