Opsource of Gaffney has partnered with local family owned Textile Plant. We are currently recruiting for experienced Loom Technicans to join our team ASAP!


Pay for the position:

• $ 14.00- $20.00 DOE

Shift for the position:

• 2nd
• 3rd

Job description for the position may include:

• Inspects textile machinery (looms, winding, twisting, and drawing out machines, etc.) for malfunctions and potential problems.
• Repairs and adjusts machinery to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication and cleaning.
• Replaces worn-out or damaged parts.

• Ensures that the machinery is operating correctly and producing textiles of the desired quality.
• Identifies and addresses any quality issues that arise during production.
• Communicates with fabric inspectors to anticipate potential defects.

• Works closely with loom technicians to improve quality and yield.
• May be involved in setting up machinery for specific production runs.
• Records operational or production date.

Skills and Qualifications for the position:

• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of textile machinery and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems.
  • Familiarity with various weaving techniques and fabric types.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Other Skills:
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
