German-speaking English Language Teacher

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a German-speaking English Language Teacher to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Pittsburgh, PA.

Job Information:

Ref #187685: a 6-year-old child, face-to-face

Availability: flexible

Preferred start date: asap

Lesson Frequency: Once per week

Lesson Duration: 60 minutes

Location: Lessons will take place at the student's home in Pittsburgh, PA (close to Totem Way and Seneca PL).

Student's English level: Beginner

Student's Native language: German

Student's language needs and goals: To communicate effectively in daily interactions and attend school in the USA.

Additional Information: Client needs a German-speaking teacher that can provide support in German if needed

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the English language
• To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field
• To have a minimum of two years of English teaching experience
• Must have experience working with children
