Functional Genomics Coach Location Hybrid (Must live in Tampa Bay area; some in-person marketing events and meetings required; may transition to office-based in the future) About Us Our company is an innovative online organization specializing in DNA testing and epigenetic testing. Job Summary As a Functional Genomics Coach at our company, you will virtually guide and support clients through personalized wellness protocols within our Health System, leveraging expertise in functional genomics and epigenetics. You will play a key role in shaping the department by assisting with hiring, training new staff, and collaborating with the executive team to develop training programs. You will receive extensive training and obtain in-house certification to effectively implement our proprietary methodologies. Responsibilities Individually coach and motivate clients, guiding them through our personalized wellness protocols based on functional genomics and epigenetic data. Conduct initial consultations to review clients' genomic and epigenetic information. Provide sessions offering insights into longevity and wellness based on biomarker data. Explain nutraceuticals and personalized recommendations derived from individual genomic profiles. Maintain detailed records of client progress, biomarker results, goals, and wellness plans using our proprietary online platform, evaluating progress and adjusting program strategies as needed. Adhere to all HIPAA protocols to ensure client confidentiality and compliance. Participate in required in-person marketing events and meetings in the Tampa Bay area. Engage in mandatory professional development, including designated reading assignments and course participation to deepen expertise in functional genomics and epigenetics. Collaborate virtually and in-person with our team to enhance coaching effectiveness and client success. Work with the Vice President to structure the department for optimal client service. Contribute to enhancing our tech delivery methods for genomics-based coaching. Assist in hiring and onboarding new Functional Genomics Coaches to build a high-performing team. Develop and deliver training programs for new staff to ensure consistency and quality in client service. Collaborate with the executive team to design and format training materials and workshops focused on functional genomics. Requirements Certification in functional genomics or equivalent professional experience in genomics, epigenetics, or related fields. Commitment to completing our comprehensive internal training and certification programs. Must obtain or maintain a functional genomics certification and pursue additional certifications in genetics or longevity as required. Exceptional motivational skills with the ability to inspire clients effectively. Strong communication abilities, proficient in virtual consultations and digital client management systems. Availability for periodic participation in in-person marketing events and team meetings in the Tampa Bay area. Experience following structured protocols tailored to individual client biomarker and genomic data. Knowledge and experience in supplements, personalized nutritional recommendations, and interpretation of genomic or epigenetic testing. Proven leadership skills with experience in team building, hiring, or training. Preferred Skills / Experience Proven success in coaching clients toward meaningful and lasting health transformations using genomic or epigenetic data. Strong familiarity with personalized health testing, biomarker interpretation, and tailored nutritional intervention planning. Background or demonstrated interest in longevity science, anti-aging research, or functional genomics. Experience in designing and facilitating training programs or workshops focused on genomics or health coaching. Advanced understanding of epigenetics and its application in personalized wellness. Benefits Compensation 28-$35 / hour based on experience and certifications, plus commissions and quarterly bonuses. Total Compensation can range from $58,240 - $84,800 based on experience and bonuses. Flexible Schedule Remote work flexibility with occasional in-person engagements in the Tampa Bay area; may transition to office-based.
