We are looking for an passionate and organized individual to join our team as a Financial Foundations Program Specialist. In this role you will support participants in achieving financial stability and housing success. This role involves one-on-one coaching, goal setting, and coordinating referrals to partner agencies. You’ll deliver the Keys to Renting curriculum, support employment and financial capability, and help transition the program to online formats.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage an assigned caseload of Financial Foundations participants.
  • Screen applicants for program eligibility and guide them in setting realistic, goal-oriented action plans.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support in areas such as employment, skill development, and financial planning.
  • Refer participants to partner agencies and coordinate service delivery with case managers.
  • Support program reporting and billing by collecting and submitting participant data accurately and on time.
  • Obtain and maintain HUD Housing Counseling Certification.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local service providers through participation in regional inter-agency councils.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive referral list for community services.
  • Coordinate informational sessions in collaboration with housing project staff.
  • Work closely with Resident Services Specialists to reduce barriers and promote program participation.
  • Deliver the Keys to Renting curriculum in both individual and group formats.
  • Update educational materials regularly to reflect current rental laws and tenant rights.
  • Assist in transitioning the program to an online or hybrid format, including content development and usability testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working with related programs is required
  • Knowledge and experience in the following: case management methods, relationship/family systems, motivational techniques, community resources for low-income clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a coaching mindset.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and agencies.
  • Comfort with public speaking and training delivery.
  • Familiarity with HUD regulations and a willingness to obtain Housing Counseling Certification (required after hire).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to evolving needs.
  • Ability to travel is required.
  • Degree from an accredited university in a related field is preferred.
