We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to support innovative DevOps initiatives and cloud infrastructure strategies. This is a 6-month W2 contract opportunity, ideal for a detail-oriented professional with deep expertise in Azure DevOps and modern CI/CD practices, particularly in complex enterprise environments such as banking or financial services.

Important Location Requirement:

This position is based in San Francisco, CA and requires on-site work .

Key Responsibilities

• Drive innovation by integrating Azure DevOps, Azure App Services, Web Apps, Functions, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Power Platform, and AI services
• Lead end-to-end Azure CI/CD pipeline implementations with Veracode SCA/SAST integration
• Migrate legacy Azure DevOps Classic pipelines to modern, YAML-based architectures
• Automate DevOps processes using advanced scripting skills in YAML, Python, and PowerShell
• Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD issues for both .NET and Java-based applications
• Oversee SSL certificate management and integration with Azure Application Gateways and Key Vault
• Support project workflows using Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Journey Manager
• Apply ITSM, Release Management, and Change Management best practices
• Administer Azure cloud resources to maintain performance, security, and cost efficiency
• Facilitate repository and pipeline migrations from Bitbucket to GitHub Actions using Microsoft Copilot
• Deliver CI/CD integration for enterprise-grade banking and financial applications
• Champion DevSecOps practices, embedding security within the DevOps lifecycle
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure deployment
• Utilize observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, and ELK Stack for monitoring system performance
• Employ FinOps principles to control and optimize cloud expenditure

Required Skills & Expertise

• Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault
• Automation & Scripting: Proficient in YAML, Python, and PowerShell
• Security & Compliance: DevSecOps, Veracode integration, SSL/Key Vault management
• Migration Experience: Classic to YAML pipelines, Bitbucket to GitHub Actions
• Application Support: .NET and Java CI/CD troubleshooting, especially in finance/banking
• Monitoring & Observability: ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog
• Tool Proficiency: Jira, Confluence, Power Platform, Journey Manager
